A convicted paedophile has been ordered to stand trial in South Australia's District Court on child sex charges dating back almost 40 years.
It is alleged the man twice indecently assaulted a six-year-old boy on the beach at Seacliff between 1969 and 1970.
The 62-year-old man tried to have the charges dropped, arguing the now 45-year-old victim could not identify his attacker.
Magistrate Simon Milazzo dismissed the argument saying the evidence would be sufficiently scrutinised when the case goes to trial.
He suppressed the accused man's identity and ordered a District Court hearing in September.
