A Sunshine Coast woman will spend a year in jail over the death of her de facto during a bondage session.
Geoffrey Braunack, 47, died of asphyxiation in 2004 at the Sunshine Coast home he shared with 58-year-old Jean Margaret Meiers.
He had been tied to a concrete post with a dog chain around his neck and packing tape over his mouth and nose.
Justice Ann Lyons sentenced Meiers to three years imprisonment to be suspended after 12 months.
Justice Lyons said that in announcing the sentence she had taken into account that Meiers had acted on her husband's request for his gratification as she had done many times before and that on the last occasion she did not appreciate that her husband could not escape as he had previously.
