Documents filed in Adelaide Magistrates Court show police will allege that an infant boy found in a driveway died from being exposed to the elements.
The newborn boy was found wrapped in newspaper at Campbelltown on Monday last week.
Police have charged his mother Lara Daphne Ey, 18, with manslaughter and criminal neglect.
The court file shows police allegations that the child died from exposure after he was abandoned.
Ey was given bail and is due back in court in September.
