Former Guns N'Roses drummer in drugs arrest

Former Guns N'Roses drummer Steven Adler has been arrested for drug possession, Los Angeles police said.

The 43-year-old former rocker, who has a history of drug problems, was detained at around 4:00am local time after officers were called to an address in Hollywood following a report of a disturbance, a police spokesman said.

Adler was also arrested on for an outstanding warrant, the spokesman added.

Adler was Guns N'Roses' drummer between 1985 and 1990, when he eventually parted company with the group amid allegations of persistent drug use.
